Ola + Yosade, The Merion Wedding, New Jersey

Hello everyone. It’s been such a long while since I blogged a wedding here. Today I got round to gathering some images from a wedding I shot last year on my own. I shot Yosade and Ola’s engagement session when I was still living on my transition between London, England and Durham, North Carolina. That prepared me well in advance for their wedding as I had some experience of how they respond to the camera as a couple. Conversely we can also say the same for them, having some experience with me too.

I believe that the first time you work with your photographer shouldn’t be the wedding day. I love engagement sessions because they are fun and relaxing and that helps you to know your client and work out how they interact with the camera. I really enjoyed shooting this wedding. The Merion is such a beautiful wedding venue with so many parts that a photographer could use for all sorts of compositions.
