Boma + Yinka, Ybor engagement session, Tampa, Florida

After New York City it almost looks like Tampa, Florida is my second home. I have taken a liking to the people, the laid back culture and the scenery. It's an absolutely beautiful part of the State of Florida.

My affinity started with this couple, Boma and Yinka. I first met Yinka at wedding I was shooting about 4 years ago. She was a bridesmaid at the wedding. She mentioned that she had been following my work online for years before I had moved over to the USA. In fact at the time we met I was still very much based in the UK. 

When she got engaged she asked me to take the honour of documenting hers and Boma's wedding. Naturally I accepted as she had been such a great supporter of my work for sometime. They both introduced me to the scene of their city, Tampa where they now live for their engagement session. There is so much colour in every part you can point your camera too. We had originally planned to do a good part of the session at the beach but certain unforseen circumstances lead us to a different part of Tampa. I'm glad we didn't go to the beach because I am so pleased with the images we got in Ybor, a small historic part of the city. I would so love to do another shoot there.
