My second BBC News feature

A couple of my photographs just got featured on the BBC Africa News Website today. I’m so excited about this especially to have been featured with the likes of Glenna Gordon, Dillon Marsh and Nana Kofi Acquah.

It’s a picture of Lagos, I’ve not seen from that angle, before…the yellow lines gave it away as Lagos, but it could be anywhere in Africa; then I saw the name of the artist, then I knew it is Nigeria.

I saw all the ladies decked out at a wedding I presume texting their men ‘It’s our turn now o…u should see this wedding, why are you not here sef’. I assume it was Nigeria, their women make a lot of effort when it comes to fashion, without the aso-ebi, ti will not look as nice – your name confirmed it again.

I was happy that a Nigerian based photographer was taking these good pictures; then I went to facebook and my heart sank.

Good job! That very 1st image of the ladies on their BB is one of my favorites. It speaks volumes- So near, yet so far. Each engrossed in their own perception of virtual reality.
