The wedding season is pretty much kicking off! But amidst working with excited brides, I recently have been doing a lot of portraiture.
Here’s a portrait of Jojo. Her sister, Seeke, bought the photography session as a surprise birthday gift. Needless to say, she was pleasantly surprised on the day. We had a lot of fun doing the session.
In these images, I set out to create some lifestyle portraits in very simple environments. For instance, the latter set of images in this post were taken in my living room. The backdrop used was my dark blue bed sheet which I hung on the curtain rail. Lighting was provided by one speedlight triggered by the Radiopopper system (outdoors) and 5 speedlights indoors using the ST-E2 Canon IR trigger.
Make up was done by Stacy Okafor.
