I remember how I felt before I started shooting for this job. It would be the first Traditional wedding ceremony I would do in the States and I had only just arrived from Chicago airport. I was somewhat exhausted, and I wasn’t sure where the venue would be and how many people would be in attendance. You could say the odds were against me on this one. I hooked up with a friend earlier, Dotun Ayodeji for lunch and borrowed his EF Canon 85 f/1.2 MkII Lens and some rechargeable batteries (I forgot mine back in London) .
Tami and Nicholas are from two different countries. Tami is Nigerian by ethnicity but born and raised in the States; Nicholas is from the States. As it is customary for the groom’s family to ask for the hand in marriage this ceremony had to be done before the formal Christian or “White” wedding.
These are the images I managed to get during the ceremony. It’s always interesting seeing how someone from a different culture and custom performs in this ceremony. I think Nicholas and his family had a great time as I was able to capture so many happy moments in this one. It kinda made my job quite easy.

Hi,
Great job.
What do you call the thing where you zoom in on certain things and make everything else blurry? Also what setting is it on a camera?
