This has to be one of the cutest couples I’ve ever worked with. I met Barny at a birthday party about 5 years ago. He was a guest and I was photographing the event. We briefly spoke then and became Facebook friends. We hadn’t exchanged many messages with each other online, but he certainly had me in mind when he proposed to Anh, his now lovely wife. He asked me if I would be interested in covering his wedding. I admit that at first I couldn’t remember exactly who he was when he called me on the phone (and as a note I generally am quite terrible with that– I’m working on it!). But the familiarity of his voice meant that this was someone who had been keeping an eye on my work for some time. I was so honoured and touched.

Here are some photos we took on the day. It was a very cold English winter day. We had very little sunlight. The grounds were frozen. Essentially, the elements were against  us, so this was a very challenging shoot to execute. But Anh and Barny are naturals, the kind of couple every photographer wants to work with. They had such an amazing chemistry together. I had the easy job of just clicking.

I’ve started traveling again– which is why my blog updates have been very slow. I have a lot of material to post but I have been either limited by time to post or had very little internet access to do it. Sometimes the content that I want to post is 3000 miles away from me on my desktop computer. Even now, I am currently in Nigeria preparing to return back to London for a short while before I leave again for my next international job. But make sure to keep checking back! I’m trying my very best not to let the traveling slow down my posts too much.

This is a couple session of a very well known photographer in London, Adebayo Deru, who is getting married later on in the year. He asked me to do the honours of photographing his wedding and also their couples’ session. Of course I couldn’t turn it down. There is always some sort of pressure whenever you’re shooting for a fellow photographer whose work you respect. In this case, I didn’t really have much to do as Adebayo and his beautiful fiancee, Sotonye, pretty much did all the work with no direction. Thanks to Jeffery for assisting on this one.
